The Golden Dawn material shows inspiration from Burzum, Viking-era Bathory, and perhaps others, but the style and the atmosphere are unique. There is a mixture of faster parts and mid-paced, almost rock-ish sections that somehow works very well and creates an aura of introspection. My only complaint about this demo is that the Apeiron tracks lose focus at times and have a couple of jarring moments (though it could be argued that the lack of focus is justified, given the sense of wandering that the music conveys). An interesting album, but not really recommended. The other Golden Dawn demos have some quality material, but the split is by far the best.

Golden Dawn - The Spirit Lives On. 05:34. 2. Golden Dawn - Until We Meet Again. 3. Golden Dawn - Leben in Nebel. Side B. 4. Golden Dawn - The Revelation. Apeiron - Where Mountains Touch the Sky. 20:24. Apeiron - My Realm Is Not of This World. Apeiron - Hymns to the Glorious Dead.

Golden Dawn, Apeiron DLP should not be missed by any fan of great nordic style black metal from the 90s. I've also added the Amestigon demo reissues up to the store (more great Austrian black metal from the same era, scene). a small shop update. com/ ww. eedstockrecords. Really impressed with the split demo '95; synthy stuff isn't usually my thing, but there's a hermetic naivete to it that I can't help but love. Thanks for releasing it. Back to top.
