My Thoughts On The 2018 Riot Fest Lineup!

The best of the album's six originals is the darkly funny "Santa's Beard," in which Mike Love takes his five-year-old brother to meet Santa and the kid pulls the cotton falsie off Saint Nick's face in a life-altering moment of mall-bought demystification. The rest of the record mixes sunny tunes like "Little Saint Nick," a rewiring of "Little Deuce Coupe," with fun experiments like the jazzy "Frosty the Snowman. The best imaginable host for a Christmas get-together, Armstrong beams welcoming warmth and easygoing cheer on this recent compilation of his recordings with friends like Mel Torme, Dinah Washington, Duke Ellington and Lena Horne. Every cut is immediately familiar – like pulling up to your brightly-lit childhood home on Christmas Eve after too much traveling.

From 'Reasonable Doubt' to '4:44,' which Jay Z album reigns supreme? . Seemingly more of a contractual obligation than an actual release, the sequel to Best of Both Worlds was the best of neither. The record was essentially b-sides from the first album, which means it was pure filler, repetitive concepts, and mailed-in verses from Jay. (No, literally, according to executive producer Tone of Trackmasters, the album was made without Jay or Kelly ever stepping into the studio together. Ironically, by the time the album debuted No. 1 on the charts, the dynamic duo was no more.

As we look at the best New Wave albums of the ‘70s and ‘80s, we’re focused both on the early records which overlap with our 50 Best Post-Punk Albums list through the New Romantics, left-of-center power-pop and synth rock of the ‘80s. New Wave music meant a lot of things in the late 1970s. It encompassed pretty much everything that followed the punk movement that still served as an alternative to mainstream pop and rock. There was power-pop, neo-psychedelia, acid-punk, art rock and lots and lots of keyboards.

Behold, the best holiday albums from the last several years, for when you've worn out Bing and The King and even Babs. There is a lot of bad holiday music out there. Plenty of schmaltz, buckets of kitsch, and heaps of saccharine-sweet production flood the market every year. But there are also, believe it or not, a number of LPs that deserve to fill the gaps on your annual playlist. Behold, the best holiday albums from the last several years, for when you've worn out Bing and The King and even Babs. Kacey Musgraves, A Very Kacey Christmas. Along with her lauded Full Circle album, her first collection in more than a decade, Lynn also released White Christmas Blue, a spry set of holiday songs. The icon previously recorded six of the 12 songs five decades ago on 1966’s Country Christmas, and there’s undeniable charm to seeing her reinterpret them again, here.

New album Schmaltz sees Slocum now approaching his 30s and feeling older but not necessarily wiser and, if anything, more out of step with the punk "scene" than ever before. Not only is he no longer a young man in a young punk band anymore but he is also having to try to come to grips with the fact that, in life's journey, not everyone is going to stick around for the ride. Musically, Schmaltz also finds the band at something of a crossroads.

With their sophomore album schmaltz, the band expands their sound both musically and lyrically. More anthemic than ever, the band tears through ten songs in which Dylan Slocum tries to find a positive way to handle the loss of those closest to him while inching towards self-acceptance in a world that doesn’t always feel like home. Producers Dylan Slocum & Kyle McAulay. Writers Dylan Slocum. More Spanish Love Songs albums. Giant Sings The Blues (Extended Version).

Returnal was named Best album of 2010. , Deepchord Presents Echospace – Liumin 2010. Liumin is a juggernaut of thumping dub bass, cyberpunk synths, and the most lush ambient pads ever crafted. The album featured in 2011’s best of the year list. , Motion Sickness of Time Travel – Motion Sickness of Time Travel 2012. This music feels like the most epic 8-bit adventure stretched into timeless, formless oblivion. for me carbon based seem just a little over the edge into schmalt. ut maybe you know some other materia. ikeLike.

The title of track 1-3 is misspelled on the release (You Wan't Be Satisfied). For correct spelling see (for instance): Wikipedia
There is a mistake in the title of track 1-14 also (Gotta Be Getting'). See 1944 release

Track 1-17: Very likely the writer's credits are not correct. Most commonly the song is credited to Jimmy Rushing.
