Complete your Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger & The Trinity collection. Like Open, the previous album with Julie Driscoll, she does not sing on every song, Brian Auger and even Dave Ambrose also handles vocal duties, and there are a couple of instrumentals as well. This goes way beyond anything on Open, or Definitely What (without Jools). The horns are dropped, but a more ambitious approach is clearly felt, taking greater chances, combining jazz, soul, blues, prog, gospel, and even folk, which means even if you don't care for everything done on the album you can't help but be still amazed by the performance from all around.

The final collaboration between singer Julie Driscoll (by that time dubbed as "The Face" by the British music weeklies) and Brian Auger's Trinity was 1969's Streetnoise - it was an association that had begun in 1966 with Steampacket, a band that also featured Rod Stewart and Long John Baldry. As a parting of the ways, however, it was Trinity's finest moment. A double album featuring 16 tracks, more than half with vocals by Driscoll, the rest absolutely burning instrumentals by Trinity.

When Brian Auger started playing Keith Emerson was already performing and recording with The Nice (1966) - which was more classically oriented than ELP. If any band influenced ELP it was The Nice. Emerson is classical in nature. Auger is not. He is strictly jazz-rock-soul and R&B of the old school
