The Airmen of Note is the premier jazz ensemble of the United States Air Force and part of the United States Air Force Band. Created in 1950 to carry on the tradition of Major Glenn Miller's Army Air Corps dance band, the "Note" is a touring big band that has attracted 18 professional jazz musicians from across the United States.

The "Note" routinely produces broadcasts and recordings that are heard on hundreds of media outlets worldwide. Airmen of Note recordings have proven to be among the most popular jazz recordings in the United States, with one release having achieved number two on the JazzWeek Jazz album chart. The USAF: Airmen of Note has 18 members, 17 instrumentalists and 1 vocalist. Tonight's concert was by far the most musical presentation I have enjoyed since some of the old Carnation Plaza Big Band series where I heard live performances of Basie, Bellson, Rich and Herman. Those were exciting concerts of my youth, but NONE of them were close to the cleanliness, dynamics, balance, blend and technical virtuosity that I heard tonight. The band is solid ALL THE WAY DOWN, and Paige Wroble sang with a passion and technical prowess not often heard from big band singers
